Kablogs Journal Cover

Just recently, one of my photos was featured as a cover for the June issue of KABLOGS JOURNAL. The Journal publish stories of Filipinos from all over the world. This photo was taken a few years back during the 2nd birthday of our son Tyrone. The photo also features his older sister Tyra and their friend Naedyn. You can check out their site at http://thekablogsjournalcover.blogspot.com/

For Tyra and Tyrone

I’m still busy editing some very important photos. Right after that, I will need to shop for a high quality photo album and then off to send the finish work overseas. But a while ago took a break and did some shots for my kids Tyra and Tyrone. I love you guys and this is for you!

Backlogs from 2009

Finally, a second post to my blog since the revamp. Now I have come to a point where the changes I’ve made here seems to be heading in the direction where I wanted this site to be. Ofcourse, it’s still and will always be a work in progress like the works of most artists are.

Anyway, just to start sharing with you what I failed to post here earlier.

The TiC Style Awards 09: Best Fashion Photographer

Yes, I was nominated as one of the regions ‘Best Fashion Photographer’ along with the Masters in the industry. I’d say, having been nominated is a humbling experience that I never even mind whether I had won this one or not.  But one thing for sure, it has inspired me to go out more often and exceed my personal expectations. By the way, here is the link to the nomination.

A Lighting Session with Jamie and Thanya

The following photos were taken during one of our lighting sessions held at Chatuchak Park in Bangkok. There were about 6-8 people present during the fun shoot which I have to admit  was just enough numbers considering we had two models, Jamie and Thanya.

Our setup was very light and basic. We only had my shoot through umbrella, light stands and a couple of SB-800′s. We did not use any dedicated flash triggers at all but instead we took advantage of the Nikon Creative Lighting System (CLS). It was working great for us though we need to take turns to take the photos so as not to trigger the flash while it’s the others turn. Yes, this is one of the disadvantage when there are several photographers around making use of this lighting system.
