She was busy playing next to the bed one morning. And I immediately saw the potential of this image considering that the sunlight was just enough to get this glow in her face. I got out of bed and took my D50 with my fav 50mm lens. I was lucky she was in the mood to pose for me :) So, here you go, converted in to mono using the Image >> Mode >> Grayscale technique plus a little bit of dodge and burn here and there.

The Splendour of Angkor

The children of Tonle Sap lake in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

This is I consider one of the top photos that I have taken during my Angkor Wat trip. We just came back from a boat ride at Tonle Sap lake. It was late in the afternoon while I saw this kids playing on top of a sand filling. A road construction was on the way.

The moment we pulled over, I went closer to these kids who were were eager to have their photos taken. Though the light was good at that time, I still opted for this kind of shot. I did not think that there is a need to show their faces to evoke a certain mode. In fact I feel that it worked much better this way. What do you think
